שיפוץ וחידוש האודיטוריום ביד ושם – ירושלים

The project involves the extensive renovation, renewal, and upgrading of the auditorium building at Yad Vashem, which was inaugurated in 1961. One of the project’s main engineering challenges is to preserve the existing structure while adapting it to contemporary requirements, advanced technologies, and current safety standards, maintaining the highest standards of quality and execution. The works include comprehensive renovation of the ground floor and basement, including the auditorium, as well as upgrading the institutional protected space to comply with current Home Front Command standards. The project also involves structural reinforcement of beams and other building elements, construction of an elevator shaft, and adaptation of evacuation routes to meet applicable safety requirements.

In addition, the building’s electrical, air conditioning, communications, lighting, and plumbing systems are being comprehensively upgraded. Finishing works include acoustic ceilings and carefully executed wood cladding.

The project joins Shapir’s preservation and renovation work at Beit Frumin, the Knesset’s first home, demonstrating the company’s capabilities in delivering complex engineering projects of national significance while preserving historical heritage and adapting existing buildings to contemporary needs.
