he Blue Line is part of a regional Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system designed to improve public transportation services and connect Kiryat Ekron, Rehovot, Ness Ziona, and Rishon LeZion, with connections to the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.As part of the project, Shapir Engineering is carrying out construction works along the route within Rehovot, including along Herzl Street, the city’s main thoroughfare. The works include upgrading urban infrastructure, placing power lines underground, renovating sidewalks, installing advanced street lighting, developing bicycle paths, and carrying out landscaping, including tree planting.The project combines the development of transportation infrastructure with improvements to the public realm, helping create a more accessible, safe, and pleasant urban environment for residents, businesses, and pedestrians. Upon completion, the project is expected to improve transportation connectivity and support the continued urban development of Rehovot and the surrounding region.
