Construction of the Purple Line

The route of the Purple Line traverses above ground between the cities of Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Givat Shmuel, Kiryat Ono, Or Yehuda and Yehud. The length of the line, which is designed to transport approximately 60 million passengers annually, stands at approximately 27 km and will consist of 43 stations. Moreover, Shapir is constructing an operations and maintenance depot of approximately 24,000 m2.

In the Purple Line project, Shapir uses the most advanced technologies currently available in the world of transportation and light rail and employs experts in various sectors from Israel and abroad to ensure that the design meets all environmental requirements on issues such as vibration protection, noise and radiation reduction and compliance with all the strictest safety standards.
