Construction and upgrade of the Jerusalem Light Rail System
The project includes the extension of the existing Red Line and the construction of the Green Line that together are creating a light rail network in Jerusalem.
Shapir Group’s first mass transit project, which transports about half a million passengers every day.
The project includes 40 km of track upon which 160 railcars will travel. The Red Line Expansion and Green Line Construction projects include the building and upgrading of three depot compounds: Light rail operation centers, approximately 30 km of dual track along the entire railway route, 87 new junctions and approximately 30 additional railway stations.
In addition, the Group is a leader in the Purple Line project under construction in the Gush Dan region.
