Highway 50
In the Highway 50-Segment 2 Project, better known as Jerusalem’s ‘Begin Boulevard,’ two bridges, the Banbanishty and Refa’im Bridges, were constructed along with additional paving work and infrastructure systems.
The project’s works were all carried out within the jurisdiction of the city of Jerusalem and included:
Earthworks in the scope of 65,000 m3.
Construction of the Banbanishty Bridge spanning the intersection of Begin Boulevard and Banbanishty Street, including a paved roadway from pre-stressed concrete beams in an area of approximately 4,200 m2.
Construction of the Refa’im Bridge spanning the railway track, including a paved roadway from pre-stressed concrete beams in an area of approximately 10,200 m2.
Building slurry walls from piles and on-site cast concrete in an area of approximately 7,000 m2.
Paving roadways on a total area of more than 48,000 m2.
Electric, power, communications infrastructure works, and underground infrastructures for water and drainage, including landscaping, traffic arrangements and roadway paving.
