About the Project

Work began in 2015 and included the paving of approximately 30 kilometers of expressways, the construction of five interchanges, seven bi-directional bridges and the boring of three bi-directional tunnels for a total length of approximately 10 km.

This complex project required the construction of mega-interchanges within active, busy roads, work in proximity to a railway track and areas with high environmental sensitivity, such as Nahal Kishon. Despite the complexity, Shapir completed the project’s construction ahead of the contractual date. Tunnel passage requires payment of a toll.
