About the Project

The Maccabit Highway is a lateral tributary highway of the Trans Israel Highway (Highway 6). The road traverses Petah Tikva, Kiryat Ono, and Givat Shmuel and connects with Highway 4. Building the nearly 10 km highway was complex and included the construction of a recessed roadbed. Residential neighborhoods are situated along the highway, so to protect area residents from traffic noise and air pollution, the Shapir Group constructed acoustic retaining walls 17-20 meters tall.

The project also included infrastructure work, a 400-meter tunnel, five bridges, retaining walls, earthworks and road paving.
