The Knesset – Infrastructures
Shapir Group designed and built the Knesset Expansion Project in 2001; at the end of the construction phase began the operational phase under the auspices of a 25-year concession agreement.
A project in the PFI method: Design, Construction, and Maintenance for 25 years.
The work included the construction of a multi-level underground car park of approximately 17,000 m2 adjacent to the existing building and t a new wing with an area of 30,000 m2 with committee rooms, halls, Knesset members’ offices and additional landscaping.
Since the end of construction, the facility has been maintained by Shapir.
